Our Shows

Adelaide Radio Players Inc is a small yet vibrant community of seniors that pride ourselves on our ability to develop a range of entertaining and enjoyable radio plays that we read directly from the script, as was done in the old-style radio plays of the 1930s, 40s and 50s - before the days of TV and the Internet.  We enjoy hamming up the comedy, enhancing the melodrama and include some well loved advertisements.  

We perform each year between March and November mostly to retirement villages, Probus Clubs and other seniors clubs throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area. 

Occasionally we perform at places like the Capri Theatre, Goodwood and once a year we do a charity performance at the Church of Christ Hall, where we rehearse.  

Various members write our scripts, create our sound effects and operate our audio equipment so that our audiences can easily hear and understand our performance. 

Adelaide Radio Players is very popular with seniors groups and we aim to leave your group with a smile on their faces and a spring in their step.
